Tips For Cleaning Glass Shower Doors

There are a few things worse than a dirty house — and there are a ton of ways you can combat these issues. One of the best things you can do is either replace what’s past dirty, or clean thoroughly. When it comes to your bathroom glass, sometimes, that’s much easier said than done. Instead of scouring a ton of websites looking for the easy answers, we’ve compiled them here just for you! Take a look below and see how you can keep those panes sparkling all year long!

Mild Soap And Water

Possibly one of the most overlooked aspects of cleaning your glass comes from using the wrong soaps. Cleaners that are dish safe are often some of the best cleaners for your glass as well. It’s a good idea to take a bit and lather your glass up with the soap, allowing it to sit for a minute or two. From there, apply water and whatever you’re using to scrub it — a hand towel is usually a great option! After it’s clean, dry it immediately with a towel that won’t cause streaks and it’s as good as new!

Abrasive Pads

When hard water spots appear on your glass, there are only a few things you can do. Ultimately, the best option is to grab your closest steel wool pad, and lather it a bit with some water. From here, you can begin lightly scrubbing the affected areas, and removing the deposits left by the water. Brush lightly at first, and make sure there’s a little bit of moisture between the pad and glass.

BONUS

A hydrophobic coating is a great way to eliminate most of the hard water spots from your glass as well. This will repel water from sticking and drying on the glass, which is the cause for those water stains. Applying a thin film can be beneficial!
